Q: What can we expect from The Nest Menu?
A: The Nest Menu will be above all else- health focused.
Fresh. A playful approach on seasonal foods. Bold flavors.
Local when available. For those who want a break from the
“Health Menu” we also offer a “Daily Cheat”- a decadent
indulgence for when you are in the mood to “be bad.”
There will also be a plethora of Vegetarian, Paleo-Friendly and Gluten Free options. There are few places in St. Louis that do healthy & delicious well. That is our bottom line goal.
Q:What makes The Nest different than other “family - friendly” establishments when it comes to food?
A: There is a much higher level of thoughtfulness that goes above the traditional kids menu items. We are going to serve items to the children that 1. parents will feel good about feeding their children, and 2. are served in a way that makes kids excited to eat. The entire experience of The Nest is about not sacrificing sophistication but still appealing and catering to children. Just because it's “for kids” does not mean it's dumbed down. Children can be drawn to colors and flavors that are natural and fresh when it is packaged in a way that appeals to their imagination.
Q:What have your prior restaurant experiences taught you that you will bring forward to The Nest?
A: No crazy portion sizes...Nothing is worse than an uninspired plate of food. There is so little thought that goes into the food waste and boredom of the large expansive menus that most establishments provide. This is my chance to do things right. Simple, Clean, and Fresh.
Q:What does The Nest mean to you as a chef?
A: The Nest is a chance to truly be a part of a family. From the community to the food itself - we are treating the entire thing as we would treat our family members. You don’t cook “crap” for your family - the Nest is about bringing everyone together - putting love and passion into the food. We want everyone to break bread and connect to one another. It's more than a meal. It's an experience.
The mission of the Nest is to #BringBackFamily through a new and innovative "family-friendly"dining experience. The Nest was made for families of all shapes and sizes and is the perfect place to gather large groups of loved ones to connect over colorful plates of "real" and "fresh" foods.

Going above and beyond what was traditionally thought of as "family-friendly" dining the Nest merges together indoor play spaces, childcare (yes, who would have thought...childcare within a restaurant?) with health inspired, local, organic, and made-from-scratch deliciousness. You will not find any traditional flour in our kitchen (all of our on site baking is gluten free), you will not find processed chemicals, you will not find frozen chicken fingers. What you will find is a lot of love, a place to call home, and a real experience for you and your entire family. Food you can feel good about. An environment that truly caters to both children and the adults. This is The Nest. The Nest offers full breakfast, lunch and dinner menus in addition to a coffee, juice and smoothie bar; indoor play space; on-site childcare room; and an educational space (The Perch - located on the second floor) with a plethora of family focused offerings. The Nest also hosts a variety of special events and parties in the three gorgeous private event rooms.
The Nest serves breakfast, lunch & dinner daily. Our menu focuses on fresh, internationally inspired foods prepared in tasty and innovative ways. Our goal is to inspire whole and healthy living through comforting and flavorful dishes that fully satisfy even those most skeptical of the words "health food." The menu, which draws inspiration from our favorite Greek, Asian and Mexican establishments, showcases local farmers, bold colors and exotic flavors. Happy Hour is served daily from 3-6pm, offering $5 glasses of wine & champagne, and is the ideal gathering space for all women looking to partake in tea or wine service, fluffy scones, lovely mini pastries and a variety of small plates! The Nest also offers daily take-out coffee (from incredible local roaster Goshen Coffee) and to-go breakfast items, with a designated to-go entrance and expedited service for those on the run.
